Ensuing discussions and group work focused on the organizational structure of the IIHP (including meetings, publication and website) as well as on curriculum, training courses, summer school and certification.
The successful meeting had the following outcomes:

2. An international summer school based on the core curriculum will be held at the University of Heidelberg in August (23-30) of 2010.
3. The represented universities will explore applying for EU funding for a joint degree program under the leadership of Palacky University in the Czech Republic.
4. An IIHP e-newsletter will be published starting in the fall. This will be a joint effort of the University of Heidelberg, American University and Wolf Kirsten.
5. The European IIHP website (www.ec-iihp.eu) will be further enhanced with IIHP member profiles, resources, studies and useful links.
6. The IIHP will explore the possibility of offering a joint certification with the American College for Sports Medicine (ACSM) starting in Germany under the leadership of the DVGS.
